Neuron Energy unveiled a new 5-acre production site in Chakan, Pune, during the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The cutting-edge plant is expected to manufacture 1.5 GWh of lithium-ion batteries per year, demonstrating the company’s commitment to promoting renewable energy solutions in India.

The ₹25 crore facility is well-positioned to fulfill the rising need for sustainable energy solutions in the EV and energy storage industries. Its production capacity will support applications such as two- and three-wheelers, golf carts, drones, battery energy storage systems, and communications solutions. The site also contains a 6,500-square-foot Experience Center to demonstrate Neuron Energy’s technology, as well as a 5,000-square-foot Research and Development Center dedicated to energy storage innovation.

Neuron Energy’s participation at the expo marks its second appearance, showcasing its contributions to India’s EV battery sector and its alignment with the Make in India initiative. The Bharat Mobility Global Expo serves as a key platform for stakeholders in the mobility and automotive sectors to exchange ideas and highlight advancements in sustainable transportation.

Neuron Energy CEO Pratik Kamdar highlighted the facility’s role in addressing the increasing need for reliable, scalable, and sustainable battery solutions. He noted the initiative’s alignment with India’s electrification goals and the broader shift toward clean energy systems.

India’s EV market has been expanding rapidly in response to government policies and initiatives aimed at reducing carbon emissions. Battery manufacturing plays a crucial role in supporting this transition, with companies like Neuron Energy contributing to local manufacturing capabilities and reducing reliance on imports.

The new Chakan facility underscores Neuron Energy’s dedication to innovation and sustainable growth, reinforcing its leadership in the EV battery industry and supporting India’s clean energy future.
