Neuron Energy has secured Type Approval Certificate (AIS-156 Amendment III) Phase 2 approval for its L3 and L5 category battery packs.

      Type Approval CertificateNeuron has received this certificate for 4 battery pack models – 51.2V 100AH, 51.2V 200AH, 60.8V 100AH, and 60.8V 200AH.

The attainment of this prestigious certification opens doors to expansion and growth opportunities within the Indian EV market for Neuron Energy.

The successful acquisition of Type Approval Certificate (AIS-156 Amendment III) Phase 2 for their L3 and L5 category battery packs proves Neuron’s commitment to delivering high-quality, reliable and compliant energy solutions for the EV industry.

The promising lithium-ion EV smart battery manufacturer, which has been expanding quickly since its founding in 2018, aims to increase its certifications from the current four models to twenty models, which include battery packs for EV two-wheelers and three-wheelers.

It also wants to strengthen its workforce by expanding the R&D team. Furthermore, the company is also gearing up for the development of Li-Ion smart batteries for EV 2W’s and 3W’s while aiding in the brand’s venture into batteries for drone applications.

The company has also recently achieved a significant milestone by securing INR 200 million in their Pre-Series A Round.

This funding was led by Equanimity Investments and the Rajiv Dadlani Group and witnessed active participation from the Chona Family Office (Havmor Group), Kayenne Ventures, as well as other esteemed Family Offices and HNI investors.

Pratik Kamdar, CEO & Co-Founder of Neuron Energy, expressed his enthusiasm about the certification, stating, “We are thrilled to receive this approval, enabling us to contribute to the rapidly evolving EV sector in the country. This certification reinforces our commitment to providing customers with enhanced experiences and building their trust in electric vehicles by ensuring utmost safety and security. Notably, the remarkable growth in Indian auto sales for L3 and L5 category vehicles highlights the increasing demand for electric vehicles, making these categories significant contributors to overall sales figures.”

The notable surge in sales momentum within the Indian EV sector can be primarily attributed to the supportive government incentives and favourable policies that promote the adoption of electric vehicles.

Additionally, the market has been positively impacted by the presence of cost-effective and technologically advanced electric models in the L3 and L5 categories.

As Neuron Energy attains the prestigious Type Approval Certificate (AIS Amendment III) Phase 2 for its L3 and L5 category battery packs, the company is well-positioned to contribute significantly to the ongoing transformation of the Indian automotive landscape, driving forward the sustainable and efficient future of electric mobility.
