Mysuru took a significant step toward strengthening its electric mobility ecosystem with the inauguration of a high-capacity private EV charging station at Aditya Tech Park, Koorgalli Industrial Area. The facility, unveiled by Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation (CESC) Managing Director K. M. Munigopal Raju, is equipped with two advanced 180 kW chargers, making it one of the most powerful private charging hubs in the region.
The new station is expected to provide fast and reliable charging for a growing number of electric cars, two-wheelers, and commercial EVs in Mysuru, addressing a critical need for efficient infrastructure as adoption rates rise.
CESC has already been expanding charging infrastructure across the city, with multiple charging points set up at Kesare, Hinkal, Kuvempunagar, Kadakola, and other key locations. This latest addition marks a move toward enhancing private participation in the EV ecosystem while complementing existing public facilities.
Speaking at the launch, officials highlighted that the initiative aligns with Mysuru’s vision of becoming a sustainable, EV-friendly city, encouraging more residents and businesses to transition toward electric mobility.
With the introduction of high-capacity private charging, Mysuru is positioning itself as a leader in Karnataka’s shift to green and future-ready transportation.
