India’s largest shared active mobility service provider, MYBYK has rolled out two electric bicycle variants, MYBYK Electric, a consumer bike for solving first & last-mile connectivity for citizens and tourists, and MYBYK Electric Cargo, a bike for solving last-mile delivery for gig-workers.

MYBYKWith over 8 years of experience in successfully operating 10000+ pedal bicycle-based Public Bike Sharing systems across 6 Indian cities, MYBYK is now venturing into the electric mobility space with a completely indigenous and purpose-built electric bicycle that it has developed in-house.

Arjit Soni, Founder & CEO of MYBYK, on the launch of MYBYK Electric said, “With MYBYK Electric, we are trying to give users a unique combination of Health + Commute + Convenience. Our electric bicycles offer users all the advantages of a bicycle which one can PEDAL for health & leisure as well as that of a low-speed electric scooter which one can THROTTLE for commute purposes. And for the adventurous ones, we have the POWERPEDAL mode which assists the user and gives a boost when they pedal, reducing their effort by up to 80%.”

Shreyansh Shah, Associate Director – Strategic Alliances, MYBYK said, “Our company has recently been awarded the contract to implement 1000 electric bicycles in Mysuru city, which shall be inaugurated soon and more cities are in the pipeline. Our e-cycles offer the dual benefit of an e-scooter and a pedal cycle and will be offered at almost 50% of the rental cost compared to the other low-speed e-scooter service providers thereby bringing down the cost of first & last mile connectivity as well as last-mile delivery.”

The MYBYK Electric with PowerPedal is India’s first consumer electric bike designed for utility.

The ‘active’ electric mobility firm, which counts Avon Cycles Limited as one of its strategic investors, is now also looking to electrify the last-mile delivery with its MYBYK Electric Cargo variant.

MYBYK plans to offer its services to delivery partners and help reduce not only carbon emissions but also the cost of last-mile delivery. MYBYK is exploring opportunities to partner with new-age companies and is open to collaborating with delivery partners for their Electric Cargo bicycles.

MYBYK, in March, was featured on Shark Tank India. Earlier, the company had raised USD 1 Mn in June 2021 and has been running the business with profitable unit economics.
