Naoya Nishimura has been appointed CEO of Musashi Auto Parts India Pvt Ltd (Musashi), a well-known producer of transmission components for two- and four-wheelers in India and a subsidiary of Musashi Seimitsu Industries, Japan (CEO). Musashi’s commitment to strengthening its executive team and its strategic focus on the Indian market is demonstrated by this calculated choice.

Nishimura joins Musashi with a wealth of knowledge, having worked there for more than 20 years and having experience in both North American and Japanese overseas markets. Nishimura, who has worked in operations, customer acquisition, research and development, and business planning, is well-positioned to guide Musashi India in realising its goal of transforming the automotive industry through superior products. Nishimura will lead initiatives to increase Musashi’s EV products’ market share in India and Africa in his new role.

Nishimura was Musashi’s global Chief R&D Officer before being named CEO of Musashi India.

“It gives us pride to bring the second tier of leadership at the country’s leading auto component manufacturer with global experience and perspective. The hiring of Nishimura reflects how modern leadership is changing, combining diversity, vision, and global experience in a dynamic way. Musashi India will benefit from Nishimura’s experience as it navigates the new obstacles that OEMS must overcome, such as their rapid expansion and capital expenditure-heavy finance needs,” stated Hiroshi Otsuka, President and CEO of Musashi, in response to the appointment.

“I’m excited to join Musashi’s journey at this crucial moment in shaping India’s sustainable mobility future. Our commitment is to offer creative solutions that spur constructive change in the automobile industry. I’m excited to collaborate closely with our team to provide our end users with cutting-edge and creative solutions. By developing alliances and diversifying its line of high-performance electric vehicle components, Musashi India hopes to build on its history of being a leader in sustainable mobility and encourage the adoption of greener transportation options throughout India,” Nishimura said in a statement following the news.

Musashi India specialised in producing premium gear systems, PCUs, and electric motors to improve EV performance and range, resulting in higher dependability and efficiency. Focused on innovation, Musashi India wants to be a major player in the Indian electric vehicle market by providing high-performance EV drive units and aiding the country’s shift to greener modes of transportation.
