In order to incorporate the Iris EV Charging Management Suite into its Powerdock charging network, Montra Electric and Steam-A announced their collaboration. The goal of the partnership is to support Montra’s growing electric small commercial vehicle (SCV) activities by fortifying the charging infrastructure.

Across all of Montra’s charging stations, the integration will apply Steam-A’s AI-powered predictive maintenance technology and real-time operational monitoring. In addition to lowering operating expenses and downtime, this technology offers analytics for ongoing service enhancement.

The collaboration follows the introduction of Montra Electric’s EVIATOR vehicle, which helps the company increase its market share in the e-SCV sector. In order to serve its expanding clientele in commercial logistics, the business has been building the Powerdock network.

The company would “deliver industry-leading standards of reliability and customer experience” as a result of the relationship, according to Vishwanath Surendiran, its co-founder.

The infrastructure for EV charging in India has been expanding quickly to keep up with the rising popularity of EVs. Because downtime has a direct influence on corporate operations, industry observers point out that dependable charging networks are crucial for commercial fleet operators thinking about making the switch to electric vehicles.

Montra Electric is a component of the 124-year-old Murugappa Group, a conglomerate with a wide range of corporate interests in financial services, engineering, and agriculture. The company employs more than 83,500 people and has INR 77,881 crore in reported revenue.
