TIVOLT Electric Vehicles Private Limited, Montra Electric’s e-SCV business, opened its first electric small commercial vehicle showroom in Madhavaram, Chennai. This enhances the company’s market presence in the area as it is the first e-SCV dealership in Tamil Nadu and South India.
The dealership uses TVS Vehicle Mobility Solution Pvt. Ltd. as its channel partner to function as a 3S facility (Sales, Service, Spares, and Charging). In front of clients, investors, and other stakeholders, Madhu Raghunath, CEO of TVS Vehicle Mobility Solution, and Saju Nair, CEO of TIVOLT Electric Vehicles, jointly inaugurated the facility.
The EVIATOR from Montra Electric, which has a certified range of 245 km and a real-world range of 170 km, will be on display at the showroom. The car has a power output of 80 kW and a torque of 300 Nm. It is covered under warranty for up to 7 years or 2.5 lakh kilometers. Advanced telematics for fleet management is also included.
Under the Murugappa Group, Montra Electric is a division of TI Clean Mobility Private Limited. Heavy Commercial Vehicles, Small Commercial Vehicles, 3-wheelers, and Tractors are the company’s four business segments.
The growth coincides with an increased need for last-mile delivery services, especially in cities where emissions standards are getting stricter. Being present in Tamil Nadu, one of India’s manufacturing centers, is a calculated step for Montra Electric to take advantage of the southern market.
