With effect from November 4, 2024, Meenakshi Priyam has been appointed Senior Vice President and HR Head (Designate) for the Mahindra Group’s automotive segment. She replaces Sengupta Indrajeet.

She will answer to Rohit Thakur, Chief Human Resource Officer for the Auto & Farm sector, and Veejay Nakra, President of the Automotive Division.

In addition, she will be in charge of bringing in the appropriate resources for Mahindra Electric Automobile Limited (MEAL) and Mahindra Last Mile Mobility LMM, both of which are expanding. By 2027, the business hopes to have 20–30% of its portfolio comprise electric vehicles, having invested Rs 12,000 crore in Mahindra Electric Automobile.

Along with working closely with the CEOs of Mahindra Advanced Design Europe, Mahindra Electric Automobile Limited (MEAL), Mahindra Last Mile Mobility (MLMML), and Automobili Pininfarina, Meenakshi will also oversee HR functions for these companies. She will receive reports from the corresponding HR heads.

Prior to this, Meenakshi served as the Group CHRO for the business-to-business e-commerce platform Udaan. Over the course of her more than 22-year career, she has held senior positions in Asia Pacific, Europe, and India. GSK, Novartis, Johnson & Johnson, Axis Bank, Yes Bank, and Towers Watson Perrin were among her previous employers.

Meenakshi chairs the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee for the Bombay Chambers of Commerce and Industry and is a member of the National Committee for HR and Leadership for CII. She graduated from XLRI with a postgraduate degree.
