      MG (Morris Garages) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Vertelo, an integrated fleet electrification platform managed by Macquarie and funded by the Green Climate Fund.

      The agreement involves the phased delivery of 3,000 MG electric vehicles to Vertelo. Additionally, the partnership will focus on developing a comprehensive EV charging infrastructure across the country, The company announced on Thursday.

      Gaurav Gupta, Chief Growth Officer of MG India, stated, “MG is dedicated to providing electric mobility solutions and enhancing the EV infrastructure. This collaboration with Vertelo reflects our shared commitment to a sustainable and decarbonized future in India. We believe this partnership will support our efforts to offer advanced e-mobility solutions and accelerate the adoption of EVs in the country.”

      Sandeep Gambhir, CEO of Vertelo, commented, “This collaboration to procure around 3,000 electric vehicles marks the start of an exciting journey for both companies, united by the goal of accelerating fleet electrification and achieving net-zero emissions. We are thrilled about this partnership and believe that  Motor’s exciting range of electric vehicles, combined with Vertelo’s integrated electrification solutions for fleet operators and corporations, will significantly advance the transition to a sustainable transportation ecosystem.”

      MG vehicles underscore its leadership in auto technology, consistently introducing innovative solutions for customers. Its current EV lineup includes the MG Comet, a smart urban mobility solution, and the ZS EV, India’s first pure-electric internet SUV, offering a spacious and luxurious in-cabin experience.
