Mercedes-Benz is set to launch the much-anticipated CLA EV in the Indian market tomorrow, marking a significant addition to its electric vehicle portfolio. The premium electric sedan will be available for booking via the company’s official website and authorised dealerships with a token amount of ₹1.5 lakh.
The CLA EV will be offered in two variants — CLA 250+ Long Range and CLA 200 Standard Range. Deliveries of the Long Range variant are expected to begin first, while the Standard Range version is likely to reach customers around June 2026.

With this pricing, the model is expected to become the brand’s most affordable electric sedan in India, effectively replacing models such as the Mercedes-Benz A-Class Limousine, Mercedes-Benz EQA and Mercedes-Benz EQB.
Customers who pre-book the vehicle will receive a complimentary wall box home charger.

The CLA EV is built on a new 800-volt electrical architecture and is equipped with an 85 kWh battery pack. It is claimed to deliver a range of up to 792 km on the WLTP cycle. The electric sedan features a rear-axle-mounted motor producing 272 bhp and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds.
The model also incorporates a two-speed gearbox and boasts a claimed drivetrain efficiency of 93 percent. In terms of charging, the CLA EV supports 240 kW DC fast charging, enabling it to gain up to 400 km of range in just 20 minutes under optimal conditions.
Features and Equipment
Key features of the CLA EV include a panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charging, six 100W USB-C charging ports, dual-zone climate control, and a 16-speaker Burmester sound system. It also comes equipped with a 360-degree surround-view camera and advanced driver assistance systems.
The launch of the CLA EV underscores Mercedes-Benz’s continued push towards electrification in India, targeting buyers seeking a premium electric sedan with extended range and modern technology.
