Mercedes-Benz is building anticipation for the official debut of its all-new GLC EV, set to launch on September 7 at the Munich Motor Show. Ahead of the event, the luxury automaker has released teaser images showcasing key design elements and features of the highly awaited electric SUV.
The teaser highlights the vehicle’s distinctive grille, designed under the brand’s new “Sensual Purity” styling philosophy. The front grille is illuminated with a striking array of 942 pixelated LED lights, framed by a broad chrome outline. This modern grille draws inspiration from classic Mercedes designs, including the radiator styles of the W 108, 600 Pullman, and the 1902 Mercedes Simplex. Alongside the illuminated grille variant, reports suggest a non-illuminated model featuring smoky white plastic squares will also be available.
Inside, the GLC EV will debut Mercedes-Benz’s latest MBUX Hyperscreen system, previously seen in the EQS and EQE models. The redesigned interface promises enhanced animations, a smoother user experience, and additional smart features, although detailed interior specifications remain under wraps for now.
Under the hood, the Mercedes-Benz GLC EV will be powered by a 94.5 kWh battery pack coupled with an 800V electrical architecture. The vehicle will feature the brand’s Matic all-wheel drive system and deliver a peak power output of 483 horsepower, promising strong performance in the luxury electric SUV segment.
The official reveal at the Munich Motor Show will mark a significant step for Mercedes-Benz as it expands its electric vehicle lineup with the GLC EV, combining classic design cues with advanced technology and electric performance.
