Mercedes-Benz India announced the launch of the all-electric Mercedes-Benz CLA in India, offering customers two variants: the CLA 200 “Standard Range” and the CLA 250+ “Long Range.” The new variants aim to provide more choices for customers in India’s premium EV segment.
The CLA 200 Standard Range is priced at approximately ₹55 lakh (ex-showroom), while the CLA 250+ Long Range will cost around ₹59 lakh, with final pricing subject to exchange rate fluctuations at launch. Bookings for both variants have opened with a ₹1.5 lakh booking amount. Deliveries of the CLA 250+ are scheduled to begin in April 2026, followed by the CLA 200 in June 2026.
The CLA 200 Standard Range offers a WLTP-certified range of 542 km, while the CLA 250+ Long Range delivers 792 km on a single charge. The Long Range variant features an 800-volt system, enabling it to recover nearly 400 km of range in 20 minutes with a 240 kW DC fast charger. The Standard Range model supports 200 kW DC charging, allowing approximately 320 km of range recovery in the same time.
Both variants come with advanced features, with the CLA 200 sporting the Progressive Line design with comfort seats and a multifunction sports leather steering wheel, and the CLA 250+ featuring AMG Line styling for a sportier appearance.
Mercedes-Benz India highlighted its MB.CHARGE Public network, which includes over 9,000 charging points across the country, and the MBUX Virtual Assistant, which helps plan optimized charging stops on long trips. Customers who pre-book the vehicle will also receive a Mercedes-Benz home wall box as a complimentary benefit.
“With the CLA EV, we aim to expand our electric vehicle offerings in India and provide premium customers with flexible options in range, design, and performance,” said a Mercedes-Benz India spokesperson.
