      Maruti Suzuki Launches fully-Electric e Vitara in India at Rs 10.99 lakh

      Maruti Suzuki has officially launched the e Vitara, an all-electric SUV, in India. Prices start at Rs 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV is positioned in the mid-size electric SUV segment and is available with two battery options, offering ranges of 344 km and 426 km under the WLTP cycle. Power is sent to the front wheels via a single electric motor, making it a front-wheel-drive EV.

      Booking and Payment

      Customers can book the e Vitara online through the Nexa portal. The process involves:

      1. Entering personal details such as name and mobile number.
      2. Verifying the mobile number via an OTP.
      3. Selecting the preferred variant, colour, and dealership.
      4. Paying a booking amount of Rs 21,000.

      Once the booking is confirmed, the selected dealership will contact the buyer to schedule a test drive when the vehicle arrives at the showroom.

      Exterior Design

      The e Vitara features a bold and modern design with a rugged appeal, highlighted by:

      • Chunky bumpers and body cladding
      • Sharp LED projector headlights
      • Three-point matrix Y-shaped LED DRLs
      • Wraparound LED taillights with a Y-shaped design

      The overall styling gives it a muscular road presence, while maintaining a contemporary electric SUV identity.

      Interior and Comfort

      The cabin offers a premium, feature-rich interior:

      • Dual-tone black and tan theme
      • Dual-spoke steering wheel
      • Dual-screen setup with a 10.1-inch digital instrument cluster and 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system
      • Spacious rear seats with sliding and reclining function
      • Electric sunroof for enhanced natural light and ventilation

      Passengers enjoy a comfortable, tech-forward experience, with ample space and luxury touches.

      Features and Technology

      The e Vitara comes loaded with modern features, including:

      • Ventilated front seats
      • 10-way electrically adjustable driver seat
      • Ambient lighting
      • Infinity sound system
      • PM2.5 cabin air filter
      • Ride-by-wire technology
      • Multiple drive modes

      These features make it suitable for both city driving and long highway journeys.

      Safety

      The SUV has achieved a 5-star safety rating from Bharat NCAP. Safety and driver-assistance features include:

      • Seven airbags for driver and passengers
      • Level-2 ADAS with front and rear blind-spot alerts
      • 360-degree camera with front and rear sensors
      • Electronic parking brake with auto-hold
      • ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)

      These features ensure high safety standards for occupants.

      Competition

      The e Vitara will compete with the Hyundai Creta Electric, Tata Curvv EV, Mahindra BE 6, VinFast VF6 and VF7, and MG ZS EV.
