Maruti Suzuki India Limited has clarified the pricing of the upcoming Maruti Suzuki e Vitara after a brief online listing suggested that the top-spec Alpha variant would be priced at ₹24.79 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Alpha 61 variant reportedly appeared on the brand’s Nexa website configurator with the ₹24.79 lakh price tag before being swiftly removed. The listing sparked speculation about the electric SUV’s pricing strategy, especially as the company had not officially announced variant-wise prices at the time.
However, official pricing has now confirmed that the Alpha variant is priced significantly lower than the leaked figure, indicating that the ₹24.79 lakh listing was likely an error or placeholder entry.
Variant Lineup and Battery Options
The e Vitara will be offered in three variants:
Delta , Zeta , Alpha
Customers will have the option of two battery packs:
49 kWh , 61 kWh
The larger 61 kWh battery delivers a claimed driving range of up to 543 km, positioning the e Vitara competitively in India’s growing electric SUV segment.
Performance Specifications
The 49 kWh variants are powered by a single electric motor producing 142 BHP and 193 Nm.
The 61 kWh version generates a higher output of 172 BHP, offering stronger performance for the top trim.
Features and Technology
The e Vitara comes equipped with several premium features, including:
10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system
10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster
Ventilated front seats
360-degree camera
Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)
Market Positioning
With competitive pricing now confirmed and a feature-rich package on offer, the e Vitara is expected to play a key role in Maruti Suzuki’s electric mobility strategy. The SUV marks the company’s serious entry into India’s mass-market EV space and is anticipated to compete with established electric SUVs in the segment.
The temporary ₹24.79 lakh listing appears to have been a premature or incorrect entry, with the official pricing structure positioning the e Vitara more aggressively than initially speculated.
