Maruti Suzuki has unveiled “e for me,” a comprehensive EV charging platform designed to simplify electric vehicle ownership in India. The platform integrates Maruti’s proprietary chargers with partner-operated stations, offering a seamless charging experience through a single mobile application.
Nationwide Charging Network for EV Owners
-
Maruti Suzuki has already set up over 2,000 charging points across its dealer and service networks in more than 1,100 cities.
-
Through partnerships with 13 Charge Point Operators (CPOs), the platform extends access to additional partner-operated charging stations nationwide.
-
EV owners can now locate nearby chargers, manage payments via UPI or Maruti Suzuki Money, and monitor home chargers remotely through the “e for me” app.
Integrated App for Convenience and Efficiency
The “e for me” app provides:
-
Charging station locator (both Maruti and partner stations)
-
Route planning and navigation integrated with charging stops
-
Remote control for home chargers, including start/stop and power management
-
Seamless payments through multiple modes, reducing friction for EV users
This all-in-one solution aims to reduce “range anxiety” and make EV ownership simpler for urban and peri-urban consumers.
Supporting EV Adoption and After-Sales
-
Over 1,500 workshops have been upgraded to handle EV maintenance and service, with trained personnel available to support Maruti EV owners.
-
The platform supports the rollout of Maruti’s upcoming EV models, including the e-Vitara, ensuring a robust ecosystem of charging and service infrastructure.
-
Maruti aims to expand the “e for me” network to 100,000 public charging points by 2030, in line with India’s growing EV adoption goals.
Impact on India’s EV Ecosystem
-
“e for me” addresses a major barrier to EV adoption—the lack of reliable charging infrastructure.
-
By combining Maruti’s proprietary chargers with partner networks, the company provides convenience, accessibility, and peace of mind to EV owners.
-
The initiative is expected to accelerate EV adoption, enhance customer experience, and strengthen India’s electric mobility ecosystem ahead of widespread EV launches.
Future Plans
-
Maruti Suzuki intends to scale up charging points aggressively, covering urban centers, highways, and rural regions.
-
The company will continue investing in EV-ready workshops, a trained workforce, and service infrastructure to support its expanding EV portfolio.
-
With “e for me,” Maruti positions itself as a leader in EV adoption support, aiming to create a seamless ecosystem for India’s electric mobility transition.
