The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara, the production version of which was unveiled at the Auto Expo 2025, is expected to hit the market in May 2025. The Hyundai Creta Electric and Tata Nexon EV are only some of the strong competition that awaits the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara when it is launched. The OEM’s luxury retail chain Nexa, which retails cars such as the Baleno, Fronx, Jimny, and others, will retail the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara. There will be three variants—Delta, Zeta, and Alpha—and two battery pack options for the e Vitara.
According to Maruti Suzuki the OEM is betting heavily on the e Vitara to be the market leader despite coming in late into the market. The maker is investing a lot of efforts in establishing a robust network of charging points for the owners of e-Vitara, which can be a clever strategy to increase EV demand and sales. In the Indian EV market, Maruti Suzuki is going top-down with the e Vitara, something that has already been accomplished by Mahindra.
Apart from a completely digital instrument panel, the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara will be the first car from the brand to feature Level 2 ADAS. Some of the other premium features will be a panoramic glass roof, automatic climate control, wireless charging, ambient lighting, auto-dimming IRVM, a 360-degree surround view camera, a power-adjustable driver seat, ventilated front seats, a second row that can slide and recline, and seven airbags.
The Maruti Suzuki Vitara will come with front-wheel drive. The battery pack option will differ based on the model. While the Zeta and Alpha trims will have a bigger 61.1 kWh battery pack, the Delta trim will get a 48.8 kWh pack. Seven kW AC charging and 70 kW DC fast charging will be offered for all three models.
