India’s leading automakers Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai Motor India and Tata Motors — have announced a fresh set of discounts and benefits for April 2026, with total incentives going up to ₹3.50 lakh on select electric vehicles, according to a Moneycontrol report.
The offers come at the start of the new financial year, after a strong FY26 for the passenger vehicle industry, where Maruti Suzuki retained market leadership while Tata Motors and Mahindra & Mahindra stayed ahead of Hyundai in overall sales volumes.
Maruti Suzuki leads with Nexa benefits
Maruti Suzuki is offering its highest incentives through its Nexa channel, with discounts reaching up to ₹2.15 lakh on the Invicto MPV. The Grand Vitara is available with benefits of up to ₹1.07 lakh, while models such as the Fronx, Ignis, Jimny and XL6 receive discounts ranging between ₹50,000 and ₹55,000.
Under the Arena channel, benefits are comparatively lower, with the Swift and Brezza receiving up to ₹45,000. Entry-level models including the Alto K10, WagonR, Celerio, S-Presso and Eeco are offered benefits of up to ₹37,500. However, no offers have been extended on the Dzire and Ertiga this month.
Hyundai offers up to ₹60,000; Creta, Venue excluded
Hyundai Motor India has announced discounts of up to ₹60,000 on select models, including the Grand i10 Nios and Alcazar. The i20 and Verna also receive benefits, while the Aura gets smaller incentives.
However, Hyundai has not offered any discounts on its key volume drivers — the Creta and Venue — despite reporting a 2.3% year-on-year decline in domestic sales in FY26.
Tata Motors boosts EV push with highest incentives
Tata Motors has introduced discounts of up to ₹55,000 on its internal combustion engine (ICE) portfolio, with the Curvv leading at ₹55,000, followed by the Harrier and Safari at ₹45,000. Other models such as the Nexon, Tiago, Tigor and Altroz also feature moderate incentives.
The company’s electric vehicle lineup, however, carries significantly higher benefits. The Curvv.ev tops the list with discounts of up to ₹3.50 lakh, followed by the Harrier.ev at ₹2.75 lakh. The Tiago.ev and older Punch.ev receive benefits of up to ₹1.60 lakh, while the Nexon.ev is offered with up to ₹70,000 in incentives.
Industry trend
Across manufacturers, the offers typically include a mix of cash discounts, exchange bonuses, scrappage incentives and loyalty benefits. Analysts note that EV models are receiving the strongest push, reflecting increasing competition and efforts to accelerate electric adoption in the Indian market.
All schemes are valid till the end of April 2026 and may vary depending on variant, location and dealership availability.
