In a major push toward accelerating India’s electric mobility transition, Mahindra has launched its Charge_IN ultra-fast charging network, featuring exclusively 180 kW charging stations. The company aims to set up 1,000 charging points by the end of 2027, strengthening India’s public EV charging ecosystem and supporting long-distance electric travel.

Mahindra Targets 1,000 Ultra-Fast Charging Points by 2027

Mahindra plans to install 250 charging stations, all equipped with 180 kW dual-gun chargers, creating over 1,000 high-speed charging points nationwide. The initiative aligns with the Government of India’s focus on expanding EV infrastructure to boost adoption across the country.

The Charge_IN network forms a key pillar of Mahindra’s broader vision to “UNLIMIT electric mobility,” ensuring faster turnaround times and improved accessibility for electric four-wheeler users.

First Charge_IN Stations Inaugurated on Key National Highways

Mahindra has inaugurated its first two Charge_IN stations at:

      • Hoskote on NH 75 (Bengaluru–Chennai highway)

      • Murthal on NH 44, around 50 km from Delhi

Each station houses two 180 kW ultra-fast chargers, capable of charging four EVs simultaneously, which represents an important milestone toward building India’s high-speed EV charging backbone.

Ultra-Fast Charging for Mahindra’s eSUV Portfolio

The Charge_IN stations will support Mahindra’s flagship electric SUVs, including:

      • XEV 9e

      • BE 6

      • Upcoming XEV 9S

These eSUVs can charge from 20% to 80% in just 20 minutes, making long-distance EV travel more practical, predictable, and stress-free.

Mahindra states that the combination of advanced charging infrastructure and SUVs offering 500 km of real-world range will help significantly boost consumer confidence.

Open Access Charging Through Me4U and Charge_IN Apps

Mahindra eSUV owners can use the Me4U app to:

      • Locate charging stations

      • Initiate charging

      • Make payments

Through Me4U, customers can already access ~34,000 public charging points across leading charge point operators, including Charge_IN.

The Charge_IN network will also be brand-agnostic, allowing EV owners from any brand to access chargers via

      • Charge_IN by Mahindra app

      • Leading EV charging aggregator platforms

      Highway-Focused Charging With Customer Convenience

Charge_IN stations will be located along key highway corridors, co-located with eateries, cafés, and other halting-point amenities. This approach ensures that EV users can relax while their vehicles receive an ultra-fast charge.

Mahindra Leadership Highlights Commitment to Clean Mobility

Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO – Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., and Executive Director, Mahindra Electric Automobile Ltd., said:

“Electric mobility is a shift toward cleaner, sustainable transportation. With our ultra-fast Charge_IN network, we aim to create an open and accessible system for all EV users. Long-distance driving should be as effortless and reliable as conventional travel.”

      Strengthening India’s EV Charging Backbone

With exclusively 180 kW chargers, an expanding national footprint, and seamless app-based access, Mahindra’s Charge_IN network is set to play a pivotal role in strengthening India’s EV infrastructure, supporting higher EV adoption, and enabling truly convenient long-distance electric travel.
