Mahindra has joined hands with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited to strengthen electric vehicle charging infrastructure across India.
As part of the collaboration, Mahindra will set up more fast chargers under its Charge_iN network at HPCL fuel stations nationwide. These stations will support high-speed charging of up to 180 kW, similar to the company’s existing fast-charging facilities.
The move is aimed at making EV charging more accessible and convenient, especially along highways and in areas where infrastructure is still developing. By using HPCL’s widespread network of outlets, the rollout is expected to happen faster than building entirely new locations.
Mahindra had introduced its Charge_iN network last year and plans to install around 1,000 charging points across the country by 2027. Both companies believe this partnership will help encourage more people to switch to electric vehicles by addressing concerns around charging availability.
