Mahindra has officially announced that its next born‑electric SUV, internally codenamed B07, will launch in calendar year 2027. The confirmation came during the company’s recent quarterly earnings and analyst call, where senior leadership outlined the EV roadmap for the coming years.
The upcoming EV is expected to be the production version of the BE.07 concept first showcased in August 2022 as part of Mahindra’s Born Electric family. While the final market name may differ from the internal code, the B07 is set to build on that concept’s design and intentions.
According to Mahindra executives, the new electric SUV will be a key volume driver for the brand’s expanding EV portfolio. It will join the existing born‑electric models including the BE 6, XEV 9e and the recently introduced XEV 9S – and aims to strengthen Mahindra’s presence in the fast‑growing mid‑size electric SUV segment.
Built on Mahindra’s dedicated INGLO platform, the B07‑based SUV is expected to offer modern EV technology and premium features, potentially competing with other upcoming EV SUVs in India’s evolving market landscape.
