Olectra Greentech, one of India’s leading electric vehicle (EV) bus manufacturers, has appointed Mahesh Babu Subramanian as its Managing Director for a three-year term, effective September 27, 2025. The appointment was approved during the company’s board meeting on September 24, 2025, and is subject to shareholder confirmation.
Experienced Leadership for EV Growth
Subramanian brings over 30 years of experience in the mobility and electric vehicle sector. He holds a postgraduate degree in Engineering from BITS Pilani and is a Fulbright Scholar, with executive leadership programs completed at Carnegie Mellon University, IMD Switzerland, and Yale University.
Previously, he served as CEO of Switch Mobility and Managing Director of Mahindra Electric, bringing deep expertise in EV strategy, manufacturing, and operations. His appointment is expected to strengthen Olectra Greentech’s strategic leadership as it expands its footprint in India’s electric bus and commercial EV market.
