A major step in the company’s ambitious statewide expansion strategy has been taken with the appointment of Mr Nand Kumar Sharma as the new Head – Charging Infrastructure & Projects by Magenta Mobility, India’s top supplier of electric mobility solutions.

Sharma will lead critical roles in real estate, engineering, procurement & construction (EPC), and operations, bringing more than 20 years of experience in infrastructure development and operations. The expansion of Magenta Mobility’s EV charging network throughout India will be greatly aided by his leadership.

Sharma had held executive roles with prominent infrastructure and mobility companies, such as Bharati Infratel, Tower Vision, Summit Digitel, and most recently, BluSmart Mobility, before joining Magenta. He is noted for leading nationwide energy, cost, and operational efficiencies and managing extensive infrastructure rollouts.

Mr Maxson Lewis, Managing Director and CEO of Magenta Mobility, provided the following statement regarding the strategic appointment:

As we grow our business, Nand’s unique combination of practical experience and strategic vision will be essential. His background in charging infrastructure construction and operation will support our expansion goals as we work to implement our “Ab Ki Baar Dus Hazaar” objective across the country.

Sharma was excited to join Magenta at a pivotal point in the development of clean mobility in India.

I completely agree with Magenta Mobility’s dedication to creating environmentally friendly, cutting-edge transportation options. ‘By building a robust and scalable charging infrastructure that drives India’s upcoming mobility generation, I’m excited to contribute to its exciting journey,’ he said.

Sharma’s appointment supports Magenta Mobility’s objective to create clean, scalable infrastructure solutions essential to India’s energy transition. He is well-known for his extensive domain knowledge in project execution, regulatory compliance, stakeholder engagement, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) practices.

With the goal of greatly growing its electric fleet and auxiliary infrastructure throughout major cities, Magenta Mobility is making this step as it prepares for its next stage of expansion.
