Debashis Mitra is the new President of Kinetic Green Energy and Power Solutions Limited, an Indian company that produces electric two- and three-wheelers. Mitra has a distinguished career spanning more than thirty years in the Indian automotive industry. She provides Kinetic Green with a wealth of knowledge and leadership skills.

Kinetic Green is widely recognised for its innovative contribution to the electric three-wheeler industry in India, emphasising internal research and development (R&D) and the ‘Make in India’ campaign. In addition to its current activities in the L3 passenger and cargo categories, the business is extending its portfolio to include the L5 passenger sector.

Throughout her illustrious career, Mitra has held top leadership positions at prestigious automotive businesses. He has led innovative projects and produced outstanding outcomes in several companies, including Toyota Kirloskar, Greaves Cotton, Mercedes Benz, and AltiGreen. These firms have grown and succeeded because of his strategic vision and accomplishments.

As he assumes this new position, Mitra will spearhead Kinetic Green’s expansion plans, emphasising the development of the business’s network and market share in the quickly expanding E3W sector. To promote efficiency and innovation, he will work closely with R&D, operations/sourcing leadership, and the 3-wheeler Strategic Business Unit (SBU) to handle the full Profit and Loss responsibility of the unit.

Kinetic Green has outlined an ambitious expansion plan for the fiscal year 2024-25, aiming to double its dealership network and achieve a sales target of 20,000 E2W units. Mitra’s appointment is expected to play a crucial role in realising these growth objectives and reinforcing Kinetic Green’s position as a leader in the electric vehicle industry.
