On July 28, Kinetic Green is scheduled to introduce a new electric scooter to the Indian market. The electric two-wheeler, named after the DX, is marketed as the updated Kinetic Honda DX, a two-stroke motorcycle that was sold in India more than 40 years ago. The first teaser for the EV was produced by the brand following the announcement of its launch. When it launches, it will compete with models such as the Hero Vida VX2, TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak, Ather Rizta, and others.
To begin with, the electric scooter’s design is anticipated to have LED logos. The black panel will accentuate the emblem on the front apron of one of these units with the Kinetic writing, which will be positioned above the horizontal headlamp. The switchgear of the electric scooter is also shown in the teaser. This suggests that the EV will likely mimic the original model’s exhaust noises.
A better glimpse of the electric scooter has been made possible by photos taken during testing, which highlight its straightforward design and striking resemblance to the original DX. A TFT display is one of the minor details regarding the scooter that Kinetic has provided. The scooter’s battery options range from 1.8 kWh to 3 kWh, and its top speed is 80 km/h, according to the company’s announcement.
Mechanically speaking, the spy photos have shown that the scooter will have a hub-mounted electric motor and a front disc brake. The suspension will be made up of two shocks in the back and a telescopic fork up front.
