The upcoming Kia Syros electric SUV has been spotted testing, offering the first glimpse into the brand’s latest EV addition. Expected to slot between the Kia Seltos and EV6, the Syros will target the fast-growing mid-size electric SUV segment.
Spy shots reveal a sleek, aerodynamic silhouette with signature Kia design elements, flush door handles, and slim LED lighting units. The front fascia appears to follow Kia’s “Opposites United” design philosophy, while the rear features a modern, minimalistic look.
While technical details remain unconfirmed, industry insiders suggest the Syros could be based on Hyundai Motor Group’s E-GMP platform or a modified version of the Seltos architecture for affordability. It is expected to offer multiple battery options, with a range likely exceeding 400 km on a single charge and support for fast charging.
The Syros will reportedly feature an advanced infotainment system, over-the-air (OTA) updates, and a comprehensive suite of ADAS safety features. It is expected to debut in global markets in late 2025, with an India launch anticipated shortly after.
The Kia Syros will compete against rivals like the MG ZS EV, Hyundai Kona Electric, and BYD Atto 3, aiming to capture a strong share of the growing EV market.
