Kia Corporation is set to debut the Syros EV in India in July, as confirmed in its 2026 investor presentation. The model will be the company’s second locally produced electric vehicle for the Indian market, taking its total EV lineup in the country to four models.
The upcoming Kia Syros EV has already been spotted during road testing and is expected to closely resemble the ICE version in design, with minor changes such as a revised grille and new wheel designs.
On the performance front, the EV is likely to feature a 42 kWh battery pack paired with an electric motor producing around 133 bhp and 255 Nm of torque. It is expected to carry forward the feature-rich and spacious cabin layout seen in the standard Syros.
The sub-compact SUV EV segment in India is becoming increasingly competitive, with models like the Tata Nexon EV and Mahindra XUV 3XO EV already present or expected soon. The addition of the Syros EV is expected to intensify the competition in this growing space, giving Kia a stronger foothold in the entry-level electric SUV market.
