Kia India has announced a major booking milestone for its recently launched Carens Clavis and Carens Clavis EV, with combined reservations crossing 21,000 units in under four months. The achievement underscores Kia’s strong product positioning in India’s mass-premium segment, catering to both traditional ICE customers and growing EV adopters.

Of the total, over 20,000 bookings were recorded for the Carens Clavis and more than 1,000 for the Clavis EV. The milestone reinforces Kia India’s reputation as a customer-centric, innovation-driven automaker offering advanced safety, premium features, and versatile design.

Mr Joonsu Cho, Chief Sales Officer, Kia India, said, “We are thrilled with the overwhelming response for our Carens Clavis and Clavis EV models. This strong demand is a testament to the trust customers place in Kia and reinforces our commitment to bringing innovation, safety, and comfort in our vehicles.”

The Carens Clavis, designed for modern Indian families, blends SUV strength, MPV comfort, and family-car practicality. Key highlights include second-row sliding and reclining seats with one-touch electric tumble, a segment-first Boss Mode for easy third-row access, dual panoramic 12.3-inch displays, an 8-speaker Bose system, 64-colour ambient lighting, and dual dashcam integration.

Meanwhile, the Carens Clavis EV, Kia’s first Made-in-India electric vehicle, caters to evolving customer needs with its seven-seater layout, premium interiors, and dual battery options—51.4 kWh (range up to 490 km) and 42 kWh (range up to 404 km). Powered by a 171 PS motor with 255 Nm torque, it supports 100 kW DC fast charging, enabling 10% to 80% charging in just 39 minutes.

Both models come equipped with Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) featuring over 20 autonomous safety functions, in addition to six airbags, Electronic Stability Control, Rear Occupant Alert, and a 360° surround view monitor.

With this dual offering, Kia India aims to further strengthen its foothold in redefining mobility trends by providing customers with both eco-conscious EVs and versatile ICE options.
