The MY2027 Karma Amaris will make its debut during Monterey Car Week this month, after a preview of its external design was given earlier this spring. On Friday, August 15, the Amaris will be unveiled at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering. On Sunday, August 17, it will make an appearance on the renowned Concept Lawn at the 74th Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
With 708 horsepower, 676 lb-ft of torque, and a 0–60 mph sprint time of less than 3.5 seconds, the Amaris—dubbed the world’s first hybrid EREV performance luxury coupé—lives up to its impressive dimensions. Its electronically limited top speed is 165 mph. Its hybrid drivetrain consists of a 4-cylinder ICE turbocharged generator that supports two rear electric motors that are driven by a 41.5 kWh battery. More than 400 miles of mixed range and more than 100 miles of all-electric range are anticipated for drivers.
The Amaris will go into production in Q4 2026, and it will start at about $200,000.
According to Marques McCammon, President and CEO of Karma Automotive, “Amaris offers all the pleasures and pleasures of a thoroughbred performance coupe – breathtaking speed, exuberant style, and luxurious interior appointments – balanced with an ultra-low emissions hybrid EREV powertrain that offers the freedom to refuel with gasoline or recharge with electricity, whichever is more convenient.” “Amaris is the only car in the world that combines eco-friendly driving with pure desire.”
