      JWL’s Commercial Electric Vehicles Debut at Auto Expo 2023

      Leading brand of wagons, brake systems and brake discs for high-speed passenger coaches, Jupiter Wagons Ltd. (JWL) has announced to showcase and launch its Commercial EVs at the Auto Expo – The Motor Show 2023.

      Commercial EVsEarlier this year JWL announced their foray into the EV segment with the launch of ‘Jupiter Electric Mobility’ focusing on commercial EVs.

      The EV arm of JWL has formed a joint venture with GreenPower Motors a publicly-listed firm based in the United States and Canada specializing in e-CVs (Electric Commercial Vehicles) in the passenger and freight transport markets.

      Its commercial EVs will be in the LCV category in the 2.2 and 7-tonne range variants.

      Jupiter Electric Mobility plans to undertake end-to-end production in India and establish service facilities in key markets to expand to after-sales requirements for a seamless customer experience.

      Jupiter Wagons Group is a leading company providing complete mobility solutions with a rich legacy of over four decades.

      Over the years, they have emerged as a one-stop solutions provider within the sector due to their high-quality standards. Moreover, its robust technology foundation reinforces its status as one of the fastest growing within the industry.

      The company’s expansive product portfolio spans Wagons, Coupler, Draft Gear, Bogie, CMS Crossings, Passenger Coach (LHB), Metro Coach, and Loco.

      The customer profile consists of Indian Railways, American Railroad, Indian Defense and National & Multinational Wagon Leasing Companies, Construction Equipment & Heavy Vehicles Manufacturers, Municipalities & Health-Care Sectors, Energy, Mining & Infrastructure.

      Their clientele includes the Ministry of Defence, Tata Motors, Volvo Eicher Motors, Bharat Benz, Avia Motors, etc. Jupiter manufacturing facilities are spread across India in Kolkata, Jamshedpur, Indore, and Jabalpur.

      Jupiter Wagons Group has a group revenue of approximately Rs. 1000 crores.

      They have also entered global partnerships with Slovakian company Tatravagonka, DAKO-CZ (Czech Republic), Kovis Proizvodna (Slovenia), Telleres Alegria S.A (Spain), Frenoplast S.A (Poland), and LAF-CIM Group (France).
