Following the MG Gloster, MG Astor, and MG Hector, the MG Comet EV is the fourth model in MG’s India lineup to be admitted into the Blackstorm edition club. This all-black version of the tiny EV, which costs Rs 7.80 lakh plus Rs 2.5 per km for battery rental, is based on the top-spec Exclusive variant. For a nominal fee of Rs 11,000, MG is now also taking orders for the same. Its exterior is completely black with red accents on the inside and outside.
Along with red highlights on the bumper, skid plate, side cladding, and Morris Garages badging on the hood, the MG Comet EV Blackstorm has a Starry Black appearance. The all-black coverings that have a red star pattern on them reveal the steel wheels. To identify it as the Comet EV’s special edition, a “Blackstorm” insignia is also placed on the fender.
Although the dashboard of the Comet EV Blackstorm is still white and grey, the seats have been reupholstered in black with red stitching and “Blackstorm” emblems on the headrests. However, the overall cabin arrangement is the same as that of the standard Comet.
A 17.3 kWh battery pack and a rear-wheel-drive (RWD) electric motor are included with the MG Comet EV.
