Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of both digital and analog electronics for high-power control systems and Battery Management Systems (BMS) specifically tailored for automotive applications.
- Take complete ownership of control boards and electronics systems from concept through specification, design, prototyping, and manufacturing.
- Engage in cross-functional team collaborations with Firmware, Mechanical, Thermal Design, Testing, and Manufacturing departments to ensure seamless integration and optimization of electronics systems.
- Conduct comprehensive product-level electrical design activities, including simulation, component selection, circuit design and analysis, and insulation coordination.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5+ years of proven success in electrical/electronics engineering, focused on product design and manufacturing within the automotive industry.
- Thorough understanding of automotive electronics design standards, including AIS, ISO, and IEC.
- Proficient in high-current power semiconductor selection and associated circuit design, including IGBTs, MOSFETs, and Diodes.
- Expertise in designing high-efficiency power converters (AC-DC and DC-DC).
- Strong proficiency in circuit simulation and analysis using tools such as LT Spice, MATLAB, etc.
- Skilled in thermal management of high-power circuits, including thermal analysis and design.
- Demonstrated experience with schematic capture and PCB layout design, specifically using Altium Designer.
- Exceptional capability in DSPs, microcontrollers, and programmable logic devices application, including peripheral circuitry.
- Ability to independently lead circuit design and ensure EMI/EMC compliance and optimization.
- Proficient in DFMEA, FMEDA, reliability analysis, Worst Case Analysis, and Component Stress analysis.
- Experienced in EBOM estimation, cost optimization, and value engineering.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with an ability to interact effectively with international team members.
- Leadership skills to mentor and elevate junior hardware engineers and collaborate effectively across teams.
Desired Skills:
- Embedded programming knowledge of MCUs, DSPs, and FPGAs in real-time control applications.
- Experience in the design and development of Battery Management Systems (BMS) or electric vehicle chargers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering from prestigious institutions like IIT, BITS, or equivalent international universities, or significant professional experience with demonstrated exceptional ability.
