We are looking for a motivated individual who wants to join our Wentzville team as a Quality Group Leader. In this role, you will lead and develop hourly talent. You will be responsible for engaging your team during their shifts to maintain the highest levels of safety, productivity, attendance, and quality. To achieve this you are expected to provide your teams with the tools needed for success. Work is of a technical nature using independent judgment within the limits of GMS; focusing on Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost, and Environment (SPQRCE).
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintains awareness of quality standards, and communicates department quality goals, and leverages resources to solve quality issues.
- Implements and follows systems that prevent reoccurrence of known issues.
- Leads Global Manufacturing Systems (GMS) processes and serves as resource supporting launch and pilot activities in assigned areas.
- Meets or exceeds production cost schedule and maintains quality requirements.
- Participates in the development of highly effective teams by motivating, training, and developing employees to effectively perform their jobs utilizing standardized methods.
- Builds and maintains good working relationships with employees, union and management.
- Understands and consistently adhere to the National and Local Agreements between General Motors and the United Auto Workers Union.
- Promote safe work practices and achieve objectives for ergonomics, health and safety and housekeeping.
Additional Description
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of manufacturing experience
- Experience with MS Excel, Word and Powerpoint
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with GSIP preferred
