YOUR TASKS
- Researching and evaluating potential vendors and suppliers.
- Requesting quotes and comparing prices for maximum ROI.
- Negotiating contracts and agreements with suppliers.
- Tracking incoming inventory, delivery arrival time, and note actual arrival time.
- Organizing and updating database of suppliers, delivery times, invoices, and quantity of supplies.
- Working with team members and Procurement Manager to complete duties as needed.
- Sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers and vendors.
- Managing logistical considerations in product sourcing and delivery.
- Performing all procurement-related administrative tasks.
- Ensuring that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications.
- Preparing reports on purchases, including cost analyses.
- Monitoring stock levels and placing orders as needed.
- Coordinating deliveries with suppliers and liaising with internal teams to ensure timely distribution.
- Maintaining records of all transactions, purchase orders, receipts, and payments.
- Ensuring legal and ethical compliance in all procurement processes.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably Polymer technology)
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in handling Plastics RM, Adhesives and Chemicals.
- Strong knowledge of purchasing, warehousing, and distribution procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Experience with SAP is a plus.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Good analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Knowledge of market research, data analysis, and purchasing best practices.
- Must be able to maintain professionalism and a positive service attitude always.
- Familiarity with relevant legislation and regulations in purchasing.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong problem-solving capabilities.
