Roles & Responsibilities
- Development of Plastic parts & Evaluation of their processes through zero defect approach
- Handling mass production quality issues (CAPA, 8D, 5-Why analysis)
- Implement Quality improvement initiatives at vendors
- Vendor process change evaluation and approval
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
- Functional knowledge, Awareness of Performance parameters & Testing method of Plastic parts, Other Int / Ext parts.
- Understanding of Moldflow analysis and actions based on mold flow
- Practical application of Quality Control Tools, including theoretical background of SPC, Analytical tools and Six sigma , PFMEA, FTA etc..
- In-depth knowledge of plastic raw materials used in automotive applications
- Analytical & Good communication skills
Functional Competencies
- Computer proficiency is essential for proper Documentation, presentations.
- Ability to read CAD drawings (Knowledge of Unigraphics is preferable).
- Knowledge of Plastic Materials & Simulation analysis using mold flow
- Ability to Conceptualize Checking fixtures and gauges along with Working Knowledge of various inspection tools, gauges, and test rigs.
Educational Qualification
- Diploma in Mechanical / Production / Polymer Engineering
- Years of experience: Should have 3– 9 yrs. of relevant experience post qualification.
- Nature of experience: Knowledge of manufacturing process of Interior & Exterior Plastic parts and their Quality control parameters.
- New product Development (Plastic Part manufacturing, Tool development, Injection molding Process understanding)
- Handling mass production quality issues (CAPA, 8D, 5-Why analysis)
- Knowledge of Plastic molds, Injection molding process, Inspection method, Checking fixtures.
- Industry preference: Automobile Industry (4 wheeler / LCV / 2 Wheeler) & Automotive Plastic products manufacturing Industries.
