Jitendra New EV Tech Pvt. Ltd. (JNEVTPL), operating under the brand Jitendra Electric Vehicles, has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with MET’s Institute of Engineering (IOE), Bhujbal Knowledge City, Adgaon, Nashik. The collaboration, established with the Department of Mechanical Engineering, aims to bridge academic learning with industrial application in the fast-growing electric mobility sector.

The MoU was signed on August 5, 2025, at MET’s IOE in the presence of academic and industry representatives. From the institute, the agreement was signed by Dr V.P. Wani, Principal, MET’s IOE, alongside Dr S.D. Kalpande, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, and Prof. Dr Sachin Dahake. Representing JNEVTPL, Mr Tejas Merchant from the R&D department signed the MoU, accompanied by Mr Satish Kulkarni and Mr Ganesh Jadhav.

      Focus Areas of Collaboration
The partnership will drive initiatives in joint research, product development, industrial consultancy, and technical problem-solving. Key objectives include:

      • Expert consultancy from IOE to improve productivity, resolve in-house and field issues, and implement advanced engineering practices.

      • Technical support for developing EV products, including electric scooters, rickshaws, bikes, and other mobility solutions.

      • Industrial exposure for IOE students through factory visits, internships, and live projects, giving them hands-on experience in EV technologies and manufacturing processes.

Speaking at the event, Dr V.P. Wani, Principal, MET’s IOE, said, “This MoU marks a vital step toward bridging classroom learning with real-world innovation. Collaborating with a forward-looking company like Jitendra EV will empower our students to work with cutting-edge technologies, enhance their practical skills, and contribute meaningfully to the future of electric mobility.”

Mr Tejas Merchant, R&D Representative at JNEVTPL, added, “This collaboration is more than just knowledge exchange — it’s about nurturing future-ready engineers who can contribute to real-time problem-solving and innovation in the EV space. Through this MoU, we aim to build a strong foundation for joint research, product development, and talent development.”

The agreement reinforces the commitment of both parties to advancing electric mobility through innovation, skill-building, and a strong academia-industry partnership, creating opportunities for students while accelerating EV advancements in India.
