      JBM Electric Vehicles (JBM EV), a leading global electric bus manufacturer and EV ecosystem provider, has unveiled its next-generation all-electric city bus — ECOLIFE e12 — at Busworld 2025 in Brussels. The bus was launched by Mr. Nishant Arya, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of JBM Group, marking a major milestone in the company’s mission to decarbonize public transport worldwide.

      JBM EV, part of the $3.3 billion JBM Group, has aalso announced the establishment of its European headquarters in Frankfurt, Germany, underscoring its commitment to expanding operations, aftersales, and partnerships across the continent.

      ECOLIFE e12: Designed for Sustainable Urban Mobility

      The ECOLIFE e12 is a fully electric city bus designed to set new benchmarks in performance, efficiency, and sustainability. Key highlights include:

      • Range: Up to 400 km on a single charge

      • Charging: Supports ultra-fast charging for better operational uptime

      • Eco-Friendly Design: Recyclable seats and fabrics made from recycled materials

      • Powertrain: Permanent magnet synchronous motor with high torque and power

      • Battery Technology: Modular lithium-ion battery packs with advanced thermal management

      • Safety: Equipped with a comprehensive Advanced Driver-Assistance System (ADAS) suite

      The bus also features zero tailpipe emissions, best-in-class energy efficiency, regenerative braking, and modular battery configurations suited for diverse route lengths.

      Advanced Safety and Intelligent Systems

      Safety and technology are at the forefront of the ECOLIFE e12’s design. The bus includes several advanced systems such as:

      • Advanced Emergency Braking System (AEBS)

      • Forward Vehicle Collision Warning (FVCWS)

      • Lane Departure and Pedestrian Collision Warnings

      • Blind Spot Detection and Intelligent Speed Assistance

      • 360° Camera, Driver Drowsiness Alerts, and Fire Detection & Suppression System (FDSS)

      • Cybersecurity protection for vehicle data integrity

      The bus is also compliant with EU Intelligent Transport System (ITS) norms and comes equipped with advanced telematics that provide 24×7 vehicle health monitoring.

      JBM’s Mission: Decarbonizing Global Public Transport

      Speaking at the launch, Mr. Nishant Arya, Chairman of JBM Electric Vehicles, said:

      “Our mission is to decarbonize public transport by creating new and sustainable global benchmarks. The ECOLIFE e12 represents our vision of combining innovation, sustainability, and user-centric design. At JBM EV, we are not just reducing carbon footprints—we are elevating the quality of life by making mobility smarter, safer, and more accessible.”

      He further emphasized the company’s long-term goals:

      “Having completed a decade in the public mobility space, we aim to serve over 20 billion passengers and clock 3 billion e-kilometers in the next three years.”

      Global Expansion and Manufacturing Excellence

      JBM Electric Vehicles has deployed or is executing over 11,000 electric buses across multiple global markets. The company operates the world’s largest integrated electric bus manufacturing facility outside China, based in India, with a 20,000-unit annual capacity.

      To date, JBM’s electric buses have:

      • Served 1 billion passengers

      • Clocked over 200 million e-kilometers

      • Saved more than 1 billion kilograms of CO₂ emissions
