The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Delhi, Smt. Rekha Gupta, launched 100 new DEVi (Delhi Electric Vehicle Interconnector) buses from Narela Terminal, reaffirming the city’s dedication to sustainable and clean urban mobility. An important turning point in the continuous electrification of Delhi’s public transportation system is this noteworthy advancement in the city’s green transportation trip.
JBM Electric Vehicles, a major player in electric transportation, manufactures and supplies 66 of the 100 electric buses. In the western and northwestern regions of Delhi, these new electric buses will improve last-mile connectivity and lower emissions by running out of Nangloi Depot. Delhi’s public transit system is still being transformed thanks in large part to the DEVi programme, which offers residents effective, secure, and environmentally responsible options.
As a leader in the global e-mobility market, JBM Electric Vehicles has established the largest integrated electric bus manufacturing facility outside of China. It is situated in the Delhi-NCR area and has the capacity to produce 20,000 electric buses annually.
