According to the deal, 200 electric intercity buses with cutting-edge technology that deliver a comfortable, secure, and environmentally friendly travel experience will be provided by JBM Electric Vehicles Pvt Ltd. By operating on many routes, these buses will enhance intercity connectivity while mitigating the carbon footprint associated with interstate travel.

200 electric buses are to be delivered as part of the project; 150 will be high-end, luxurious electric intercity coaches and 50 will be e-buses for staff and visitor use. These zero-emission electric buses have luxurious interiors and first-rate amenities since they are made to meet the highest standards for passenger comfort, safety, and elegance.

The arrangement is in line with JBM’s decarbonisation mission, which is to lessen carbon impact and support environmentally friendly transportation options. According to the corporation, throughout the course of their lives, these buses are expected to save 140 million litres of diesel and almost 4 lac tonnes of CO2 emissions.

The buses will be equipped with innovative fleet management systems to optimise routes and energy usage, as well as the newest battery technology for increased range and fast charging capabilities. The deliveries are expected to be finished in the upcoming 24 months.

Nishant Arya, Vice Chairman of JBM Group, said that the association demonstrates JBM’s commitment to sustainable development and zero-emission technologies. He noted that their electric buses offer superior performance, safety, and reliability while providing a cleaner alternative for intercity travel.

Since its introduction in 2018, JBM electric buses have been a global player in the green public transportation industry. JBM electric buses are said to have serviced 1 billion bus riders worldwide and covered 150 million e-kms within the company’s 1 billion e-kms guarantee.
