Classic Legends (CL), the company behind iconic performance motorcycles Jawa and Yezdi, has announced new prices for its entire lineup, bringing most models under Rs 2 lakh. The price revision follows the Government of India’s GST 2.0 reforms, which reduced the GST rate on motorcycles under 350 cc from 28% to 18%. Classic Legends is passing on the full tax benefit to customers, making these legendary motorcycles more accessible to young riders across India.
The updated pricing covers popular variants across the Adventure, Roadster, Bobber, and Scrambler segments. The motorcycles feature either a 293cc or a 334cc Alpha2 liquid-cooled engine, with the 334cc engine delivering 29 PS and 30 Nm of torque, outperforming many peers in the segment.
“The government’s bold and timely GST reforms will bring a tectonic shift for the greater good, echoing the historic transition from 2-stroke to 4-stroke engines. Classic Legends welcomes the GST rationalisation, especially the reduced rate of 18 per cent for under-350cc motorcycles, which covers our 293cc and 334cc Jawa and Yezdi performance classics,” said Anupam Thareja, co-founder of Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles.
He added, “While it raises the tax burden for higher cc motorcycles such as our 652cc BSA Gold Star, we accept it as the hallmark of progressive taxation. The trade-off makes mid-segment bikes accessible to a larger rider community—a win for India’s motorcycling culture. We will pass on 100% of the GST benefit to our customers. Alongside competitive pricing, Classic Legends has extended GST 2.0 benefits to after-sales components, lowering overall ownership costs. All motorcycles come with the ‘Jawa Yezdi BSA Ownership Assurance Programme’, which includes a standard 4-year/50,000 km warranty, extended coverage options up to six years, one year of roadside assistance, and a wide range of ownership benefits. The network has expanded to over 450 sales and service touchpoints across India, ensuring convenient access and maintenance.
This pricing revision, coupled with ownership assurance, positions Jawa and Yezdi as aspirational yet achievable motorcycles, blending heritage, performance, and reliability for the Indian market.
