Jaguar is preparing to launch its first all-new car since stopping production of petrol and diesel models. The upcoming vehicle is a large, ultra-luxury electric GT sedan that will arrive in showrooms from 2027.
Power and Performance
The new Jaguar GT will use three electric motors
One motor will power the front wheels, while two will sit on the rear axle
Total output will exceed 735 kW (1,000 PS)
Torque is confirmed at 1,300 Nm, making it more powerful than rivals like the Tesla Model 3 Performance and Porsche Taycan Turbo S
Size and Platform
The car is based on Jaguar’s new Jaguar Electric Architecture (JEA)
Length: 5.2 metres
Wheelbase: 3,200 mm
Height: 1.4 metres
It will be similar in size to the former Jaguar XJ sedan
Battery and Range
A 120 kWh battery will provide up to 692 km (WLTP) of driving range
Jaguar previously targeted up to 770 km
The car will have a very low drag coefficient of under 0.25, helping efficiency
Design and Handling
Large 23-inch wheels will be offered, with smaller 21-inch wheels available
Rear-wheel steering and all-wheel drive improve agility
Suspension includes adaptive dampers and air springs
Despite AWD, Jaguar says it will feel like a rear-wheel-drive car
Jaguar’s Electric Future
Jaguar has confirmed it will remain fully electric, rejecting hybrid powertrains. The brand built its final petrol car in December 2025, marking a complete shift to EVs.
