This rapid growth is especially prominent in states like Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Delhi, Assam, Bihar, and Jharkhand, which are key demand centers and pivotal for future market expansion. Recognizing the vital role of e-rickshaws in India’s EV ecosystem as essential last-mile connectivity solutions, we at Zelio strategically entered this segment with our Tanga Butterfly and Tanga SS models, first unveiled at the EV India Expo 2024. Is Zelio on track to complete its goal of establishing 500 dealers by the end of the 2025 calendar year?
Reaching 500 dealers is very much within reach. In just a few years, our scooters have become available across India through a robust distribution network of 400 dealerships spanning 23 states. We have firmly established our presence in key regions such as West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Gujarat, Punjab, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Delhi, Odisha, Uttarakhand, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu. We are now actively expanding into new markets, including Bihar, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Himachal Pradesh, and several North-Eastern states. By the end of 2025, we plan to grow our dealership network to 1,000 outlets, making our innovative electric vehicles even more accessible to customers across the country.
How many electric vehicles does Zelio manufacture daily at present?
At present, we manufacture approximately 7,000 to 8,000 electric two-wheelers monthly, alongside 200 to 250 electric three-wheelers each month.
