Raptee.HV, a Chennai-based electric mobility startup, has officially launched India’s first high-voltage electric motorcycle, the T 30, which marks an important day in the country’s EV two-wheeler segment. The T30 adopts a 240V high-voltage architecture, a technology typically seen in electric cars, enabling faster charging, better performance, and greater efficiency.

      High-Voltage Architecture & Fast Charging

The T30 features CCS2 DC fast-charging compatibility, allowing it to plug into electric car charging stations for rapid energy replenishment. With this architecture, Raptee.HV positions the T30 as a pioneering high-performance EV motorcycle, bridging the gap between traditional motorcycles and next-generation electric mobility.

      Performance and Range

      • Battery & Motor: High-voltage battery system, IP67-rated for water and dust resistance

      • Range: Up to 200 km on IDC, with real-world range over 150 km per charge

      • Acceleration: 0–60 km/h in under 3.5 seconds

      • Warranty: 8 years or 80,000 km, highlighting durability and confidence in battery technology

      Pricing and Market Availability

The T30 is priced at ₹2.39 lakh (ex-showroom), comparable to 250–300 cc internal combustion motorcycles, making it competitive in India’s premium EV segment. Since its soft launch in October 2024, Raptee.HV has recorded over 8,000 registrations, demonstrating strong market demand.

      Government Backing & Certification

Raptee.HV has received ARAI certification, clearing it for production and sale across India. The startup has also secured funding and support from the Technology Development Board (TDB), Department of Science & Technology, cementing its position as India’s first high-voltage EV motorcycle OEM.

      Future Roadmap

Raptee.HV plans to leverage its high-voltage architecture to launch a new electric motorcycle model every year, aiming to expand its EV portfolio while maintaining high performance and fast-charging capabilities.

      Conclusion

With the T 30, Raptee.HV is pioneering the high-voltage EV motorcycle segment in India, offering riders a combination of speed, efficiency, and futuristic technology. This launch signals a new era for electric two-wheelers in the country, setting a benchmark for performance and innovation.
