The Indian electric vehicle (EV) and auto component sector finished mixed on August 11, 2025, with investors selectively buying across key counters. HBL Engineering steered to the list of gainers during the session, rising 14.03% at ₹683.95, propelled by robust quarterly earnings and order flows in energy storage. Closely behind, Uniparts India saw a 12.40% increase at ₹381.25 due to rumors that it was growing its global presence.

Amid the heavyweights, Bharat Forge surged 2.71% at ₹1,165.90 on robust export demand, while Tata Motors increased 3.17% at ₹653.75, bolstered by optimism in its EV portfolio growth. Plans to expand its battery segment helped Amara Raja Energy & Mobility rise 2.18% at ₹955.20.

Other noteworthy winners were Sona Comstar (+0.22%), Olectra Greentech (+0.99%), and Bosch (+1.01%), indicating consistent investor confidence in EV-related manufacturing.

However, there was also some weakness in the market. Hero MotoCorp, after recent highs, fell by 0.82% at  ₹4,562.20 as investors booked profits. Ola Electric Mobility fell by 0.73% at ₹39.84, while Bharat Electronics fell by 0.19% and HEG edged down by 0.05% on weak delivery data.

The continued volatility in the sector related to government EV policies, price trends in raw materials and signals from the global economy has trended to this mixed finish. An optimistic view remains by analysts towards the medium term, even with volatility expected in the short term from the rapid growth of EV adoption and supply chain in India.
