Redefining local transportation in India, Hyundai introduces the concept electric three-wheeler and micro-four-wheeler. The concept cars are unveiled by the firm during the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 in India. Although both of these are merely concepts, Hyundai is working with TVS Motor Company Ltd. (TVS Motor) to bring the electric three-wheeler to market. Next, the corporation states that they are concentrating on the micro-four-wheeler’s “global potential” while still reviewing its progress.
Hyundai’s electric three-wheeler for India transforms the motor rickshaw into a contemporary transportation vehicle. The design features a flat floor, an expanded wheelbase, a windshield that is tilted for visibility, and collision safety. Because it may be converted into a delivery or response-emergency vehicle, the electric three-wheeler is also modular. The driver has a single seat, and the passengers have two seats in the back. When it is removed, users can install a wheelchair for those with limited mobility in this area, which is also modular.
In addition to the wheelchair, the rear passenger seats can be used as a trunk to move packages, food, and other items. Hyundai’s electric three-wheeler is sufficiently small and slender to maneuver through India’s winding roadways. Additionally, the vehicle’s body height may be changed, allowing machines to raise it to traverse flooded roadways during monsoon or heavy rainy seasons.
Additionally, a towing hook is included so that other cars can pull the automobile out of potholes. Hyundai pays respect to the Indian Ocean’s tint by selecting the electric three-wheeler’s Aakaashi Blue color. This company is examining the usage of water-resistant materials for the inside surfaces and heat-reducing gloss black paint for the roof.
