Hyundai Motor India has unveiled a comprehensive roadmap for the Indian market, outlining plans to launch 26 new models by FY2030. The automaker aims to strengthen its market presence, introduce innovative powertrains, and expand into new vehicle segments, including premium luxury and electric mobility.
Product Launches and Segment Expansion
According to the roadmap, Hyundai India plans:

26 New Models: Including seven all-new nameplates, six generational updates, and seven facelifts, catering to diverse consumer needs.

New Segments: Hyundai will enter MPVs and off-road SUVs, broadening its product portfolio in India.

Electric Mobility: The company will introduce its first fully localized electric vehicle, alongside eight hybrid, five EV, and six CNG-powered models, while continuing to expand its internal combustion engine (ICE) portfolio with 13 new models.
Genesis Launch in India
Hyundai is also preparing to introduce its premium luxury brand, Genesis, by 2027. The GV80 SUV is expected to be the first locally manufactured Genesis model, positioning the brand as a strong competitor to established luxury automakers like BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Audi.
Leadership Update
In a major leadership development, Tarun Garg has been appointed as the new Managing Director and CEO of Hyundai India, effective January 2026. Garg, previously associated with Hyundai and formerly of Maruti Suzuki, will succeed Unsoo Kim, who led the company through a record $3.3 billion IPO in 2024.
