To strengthen the Hyundai Motor Group’s position as the industry leader and promote sustainable growth, Euisun Chung, the Executive Chair of the Group, travelled to India to evaluate the Group’s future mobility plans. The first-ever foreign town hall meeting with Hyundai Motor India employees took place during the visit as well.

The purpose of Executive Chair Chung’s visit is to strengthen the Group’s position as a leading mobility provider in India, given the country’s growing strategic importance. Additionally, it looks at a range of commercial opportunities in the ever-changing Indian market. While attempting to appeal to Indian customers, the Group is committed to honouring its social obligations through culturally relevant CSR and ESG efforts.

At the recently opened Hyundai Motor India Headquarters in Gurugram, Delhi, Executive Chair Chung led a thorough analysis and in-depth talks on the Hyundai Motor Group’s mid-to-long-term plans in India. Furthermore, on April 23, a town hall meeting was held to provide employees of Hyundai Motor India a chance to speak with one another in person. The purpose of the conference was to share the Group’s vision with colleagues and discuss plans, such as developing the Group’s electrification strategy and establishing a one-million-unit yearly manufacturing system.

Executive Chair Chung said, “Our customer-centric mindset is always at the heart of our business to enhance what we can offer our customers and to better humanity,” highlighting the company’s philosophy.

Executive Chair Chung also said, “India is a diverse country, and combined with Hyundai Motor Group employees’ creativity and collaboration this can be our strength.”

Executive Chair Chung added, “The success of these ambitious initiatives by Hyundai Motor India is a testament to the creative and innovative efforts of our employees across the region.”

“Hyundai brought its expertise in producing compact cars and advanced technology. The favourable conditions of the Indian automobile market combined with Hyundai’s technological strengths led to synergistic results,” added Executive Chair Chung. “However, above all else, the key factors behind Hyundai’s success in India are the dedication of its employees, who are among the brightest minds globally and demonstrate profound integrity.”
