In Vancouver, British Columbia, Hypercharge, a Canadian EV charging equipment provider and network operator, has provided 500 Level 2 charging stations to the 28-acre Oakridge Park redevelopment project.
There is a vast array of office space, retail stores, residential units, and community centers available spread around the whole property. The development of this ambitious project is being undertaken by the joint efforts of Westbank and QuadReal Property Group, both of which are well-established market leaders in the field of real estate. Of additional mention is the fact that the parking lot located at Oakridge Park will belong to Precise ParkLink, which is a highly established parking services firm headquartered in the city of Toronto.
Hypercharge installation, which will be part of the company’s revolutionary proprietary charging system called Eevion, includes 200 overhead single-port Level 2 chargers. The chargers are meant to serve the purpose of the project’s high-density valet parking areas so that electric vehicles can be charged easily and conveniently. Even 300 wall-mounted single-port Level 2 chargers are installed strategically on the property, adding to the overall charging infrastructure.
“With a novel parking model, the project requires a smart, space-efficient charging infrastructure that ensures maximum efficiency without compromising on smooth accessibility,” noted Hypercharge President and CEO David Bibby. “To address this, Hypercharge’s combination of overhead and wall-mounted units maximizes the use of every available inch of space, while Eevion integrates perfectly with Oakridge Park’s integrated building management system for real-time tracking and smart management.”
