With the release of the new Vida V2, Hero MotoCorp, which formerly owned the Vida V1 Plus and V1 Pro electric scooters, has broadened its product line. In October 2022, the largest ICE two-wheeler in the world started its electric mobility journey with the Vida 2, which is basically an evolution of the V1 range.

Three different models of the Vida V2 are offered: Lite (Rs 96,000), Plus (Rs 115,000), and Pro (Rs 135,000). With a modest 2.2kWh battery pack and a claimed 94km IDC range, the most economical V2 Lite is a brand-new model. Additionally, its highest speed is lower at 69 kph than that of the Plus and Pro models, which have top speeds of 85 kph and 90 kph, respectively.

In terms of cost and battery capacity, the Hero Vida V2 is comparable to the TVS iQube 2.2 and Bajaj Chetak 2903 models, retailing for Rs 96,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

It’s hard to tell the differences between the Vida V2 Plus and V2 Pro. In essence, these models are quite similar to, if not identical to, the V1 models. The Rs 115,000 V2 Plus boasts a 3.44kWh battery pack, a top speed of 85 kph, and an IDC range of 143 kilometers. The Rs 135,000 V2 Pro, the range-topper in the Vida V2 family, boasts a 3.94kWh battery, a top speed of 90kph, and a stated IDC range of 165km.

While the battery packs have a 3-year/30,000km warranty, the Vida 2 e-scooter has a 5-year/50,000km warranty.
