Prior to the 64th annual conference of the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent a written letter to the organization’s members expressing that the 64th conclave marked an important milestone in SIAM’s celebration.

“Over the last decade, India’s automotive sector has witnessed tremendous growth. This is as much a testament to our nation’s expanding economic growth, as it is to the pivotal role played by automotive industry,” he wrote.

“The road ahead demands that our progress is rapid while also being sustainable. Working greener and cleaner mobility is a vital step in this direction… Through innovation and enterprise, I am sure that the automotive industry will drive even higher economic growth,” he shared.
