The Government of Telangana and Rapido, India’s largest and most affordable one-stop mobility platform, successfully hosted the Rapido Hyderabad Heritage Run 2026, bringing together thousands of citizens, students, families, and fitness enthusiasts in a vibrant celebration of community wellness and Hyderabad’s rich cultural legacy.
The flagship 21-km Half Marathon commenced at the iconic Charminar and concluded at the historic Qutb Shahi Tombs. Along the route, participants ran past prominent landmarks including the Telangana High Court, City College Hyderabad, Telangana State Legislative Assembly, and the majestic Golconda Fort, offering a rare opportunity to experience Hyderabad’s historic landscape in an immersive and participatory manner. In addition to the Half Marathon, the 10-km Run and 5-km Fun Run witnessed enthusiastic participation across age groups, reinforcing the inclusive spirit of the event and encouraging active lifestyles within the community. Apollo Hospitals Hyderabad served as the official medical partner for the event, providing on-ground medical support and emergency preparedness throughout the run.
Anchored in the theme “Mobility that Connects People, Places, and Purpose,” the Hyderabad Heritage Run brought together mobility, heritage, and community participation within a single civic platform. Designed to combine fitness with tourism and public engagement, the initiative reflects Telangana’s focus on culture-led urban development approach and reinforces how meaningful public–private collaboration can create enduring social impact while strengthening civic pride.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Jayesh Ranjan, Special Chief Secretary to the Government of Telangana said, “Hyderabad’s 450-year legacy is reflected not just in its monuments, but in the life, culture, and events that continue to thrive around them. We are pleased to partner with Rapido in an initiative that strengthens mobility while celebrating Telangana’s rich heritage. The strong participation of over 3,000 runners in the very first edition is truly encouraging. We are happy to share that this collaboration with Rapido will continue for at least the next five years, and we look forward to building the Hyderabad Heritage Run into a landmark annual event for the city.”
Speaking on the occasion, Shravya Reddy- Vice President, Rapido said, “The Hyderabad Heritage Run is a powerful example of how mobility can go beyond transportation to enable community transformation. By partnering with the Government of Telangana, we were able to create a platform where heritage, fitness, tourism, and livelihood aspirations came together meaningfully. At Rapido, we believe mobility connects people not just to places, but to opportunity and purpose, and this initiative reflects our long-term commitment to building impact-driven partnerships that strengthen communities while creating sustainable earning opportunities through our Captain ecosystem.”
